After a busy summer rejecting West Ham and Arsenal bids for Alexandre Lacazette, Jean-Michel Aulas is now having to deal with offers for most of his good players, all likely to be rejected in January.

The Hammers, who went on a big striker hunting adventure last summer only to come back with a Simone Zaza and a Jonathan Calleri, both disappointing catches, were reported to have bid upwards of €40m for the France international, to no avail.

Lyon are keen to challenge for titles in France, especially with Paris Saint-Germain’s stuttering form, and keeping their best players is key to them doing so.

Invited as a guest on RMC Sport on Monday afternoon, Jean-Michel Aulas revealed that he had around six or seven offers for his players, including Lacazette.

He said: “It’s true that the offers for Alexandre are between €40m and a bit, from West Ham last year, to €70m at the moment.”

Considering Lyon haven’t accepted any of these offers, it seems their asking price appears to be €70m+ at this moment in time, being midway through a season and all.

Whether that will be the case next summer, who knows?
