Thursday saw a buzz of activity on Twitter when an unknown player was spotted at Paris Saint-Germain’s headquarters named “La Factory”.

Many believed (or strongly hoped for) it to be Nicolo Barella, but LCI and FIFA.com contributor Abdellah Boulma took to social media to report that it was in fact West Bromwich Albion youngster Louie Barry.

The 16-year-old has allegedly already turned down a three-year deal from the Baggies (one year of scholarship and two years as a professional) and Sky Sports News claimed both Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are hovering around the youngster.

Soccer Link seem to confirm this interest on their website, stating the Ligue 1 champions have been following Barry for quite some time, going as far as claiming ‘negotiations’ with the West Brom youth player’s representatives took place a few months ago.

Compared to both Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Juventus (all also keen), Paris Saint-Germain are said to have a ‘head start’ on the big competition, even if West Bromwich Albion remain ‘confident’ they can keep their starlet around.

Perhaps they’ll offer him a better package than last time?

There will undoubtedly be more on this in the next few weeks.
