Yesterday, we covered a piece from Portuguese newspaper Record saying Filip Krovinovic’s move to West Bromwich Albion was ‘practically done’.
The outlet claimed the player is moving on a one-year loan deal from Benfica, with no buying option for the Baggies. They have another story confirming it today.
However, newspaper A Bola goes a little against that. They say West Brom are ‘accelerating the negotiations’ for the midfielder, but the clubs are still to find a deal.
It’s claimed the transfer was even ‘at risk’ since neither of the sides wanted to give in, but they’re now back in talks and the move is edging closer.
A Bola says Benfica and West Brom are currently negotiating the fee for the loan and for the buying option. The clause should be obligatory in case the Baggies stay in the Premier League for next season.
It’s said the Eagles want €10m for the permanent move, and that’s why the talks nearly collapsed. There’s now ‘optimism’, since all the parties want the transfer, including Krovinovic himself.
