Over the last few months, we’ve brought you various updates on the future of Watford youngster Dodi Lukebakio.

The 21-year-old spent this season on loan in the Bundesliga with Dusseldorf, scoring 14 goals and registering four assists in all competitions.

Last month we updated you on his future, with a report from DH explaining he was hoping to leave Watford and would prefer a club that could offer European football.

L’Equipe have covered his future today and say the forward has ‘made it clear’ that he wants to join Lille this summer.

The newspaper suggests they already have an agreement in place with Lukebakio, although there is no suggestion that they have either contacted Watford or have a deal sorted.

Lille present an attractive option for Lukebakio given they can offer Champions League football after finishing second in Ligue 1 last season.

They also have a history of developing youth, particularly forwards, with Rafael Leao proof of that. However, with no agreement with Watford seemingly in place at this moment in time, he may have to wait before getting the move he clearly wants.
