When speaking of young talents coming out of Fluminense, it’s hard not to mention Watford, who signed some of the most promising players the Brazilian club had in the past few years.

The Hornets first signed Richarlison in 2017, then João Pedro in 2020 and now bought Matheus Martins in 2023.

As outlet Netflu this week writes about Fluminense youngster Kauã Elias, they reveal that Watford are one of the clubs interested in him.

It’s claimed that following the chase from Barcelona, Porto and Brighton & Hove Albion, the Hornets are the fourth side to join the battle.

It’s made clear, however, that there have been no official bids made for him so far, as Watford and others are only ‘monitoring’ the promising player.

Kauã Elias is only 17-years-of-age and hasn’t even made his official debut for Fluminense yet. According to Netflu, his real explosion happened when on European tour with his club last year, having scored 16 goals in 16 appearances.

Since Watford clearly have good communication with the Brazilian club, perhaps that could give them an advantage in the negotiations.
