Everton, West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers all have their eyes on Salernitana striker Boulaye Dia as the Italian club eye a sale this month.

That’s according to Cronache di Salerno, who have their own take on the matter today amid growing speculation regarding Dia’s future.

The striker was heavily linked with a move away from Salernitana in the summer with several Premier League sides all considering a move for him at various points.

That included Wolves, who moved for him late in the window but found their offer rejected and openly mocked by the Italia club.

That led Dia to go on strike after the fact, unhappy that the offer for him and a potential move to England had been rejected.

He ultimately resolved his differences with those in charge and returned but the rumours have not died down and he again finds himself linked with a move away this month.

Wolves were again credited with an interest earlier today before two separate reports indicated West Ham were pushing to get a deal over the line.

Cronache di Salerno back that up somewhat, stating that Salernitana ‘have to fix’ the situation with Dia who will not be sold for less than €20m.

They say that Eintracht Frankfurt are ‘in the front row’ for the striker but there is a need to ‘watch out for’ the Premier League, where Everton, West Ham and Wolves are also keen on him.

They don’t say any more than that but do add that those three may have a clearer shot at him than anticipated as Fiorentina and AC Milan are not willing to match his asking price.

That’s something that could also be said of Everton, although in their case it is an inability to match it rather than an unwillingness, so it’s more likely they’re just keeping track of an old target.

The real battle is more likely to be between West Ham and Wolves, with various sources in Italy now naming both among those looking to sign Dia this month.
