Galatasaray have come forward to sign Nottingham Forest’s Serge Aurier in this window.

That’s according to Sports Digitale journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, who took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to provide a short update.

He claims Galatasaray vice-president Erden Timur ‘met with’ Aurier and asked him the conditions needed to take him away from Nottingham Forest.

The 31-year-old’s deal lasts until the end of this season and the Turkish club’s interest could provide the Tricky Trees an opportunity to earn a fee from this sale.

Galatasaray have collected €30m from Sacha Boey’s sale to Bayern Munich and his exit has left a void in their squad. They are looking to bring in a replacement for the Frenchman and have started work to sign the Nottingham Forest player.

The winter market in Turkey will close on February 9th, meaning they can still try and sign Aurier after the window in England closes on Thursday.

The former Tottenham Hotspur man has two assists from 11 appearances for Nottingham Forest this season. Aurier is currently with Ivory Coast, who made it to the last eight of AFCON.

Further claims from the same source have stated Nottingham Forest are ready to evaluate offers.
