That Leeds United are interested in Club Brugge’s Emmanuel Dennis isn’t exactly news.

The man pushing that rumour has been French journalist Manu Lonjon, who explained not too long ago the Elland Road club were ‘in negotiations’ with the forward.

The Nigeria international has been linked with a number of clubs in the Premier League and Europe in the past, but few appear to have been close to signing him.

However, this could change this summer, with a number of big names looking at Dennis, who can operate in a number of positions.

The same Manu Lonjon is now reporting that Bayer Leverkusen, who could be on the verge of losing Kai Havertz to Chelsea, have turned their attention to the player.

He adds that Dennis ‘also has offers from Leeds and Napoli’.

To us, this suggests the player has been contacted by those in charge at Elland Road, being given the opportunity to go over their arguments as to why he should move to Yorkshire.

What isn’t clear, on the other hand, is the state of the talks between Leeds and Club Brugge.

Either way, the offer is there, and we’ll have to wait and see if anything more comes of it.
