When the news about Tottenham Hotspur’s trip to Portugal came out, all of the Portuguese media agreed on the claims.

But things have been a little different since Spurs’ latest bid for the Sporting midfielder Bruno Fernandes was rejected.

When Record first reported it, they said Tottenham emissaries would likely return to London now, and perhaps go back to Portugal for more talks.

But A Bola brings another version. They claim a new meeting should take place, ‘possibly on Friday’.

A Bola also says that according to their sources, an agreement should only happen at the start of next week. That means Bruno Fernandes would be able to play against Benfica on Sunday.

RTP, the first to report Tottenham’s trip, have confirmed Sporting’s rejection of the latest offer as well. According to their latest update, the Spurs’ offer was ‘far’ from the €70m demanded by the Lisbon side.

They also say that ‘other clubs’ are still interested in the player, so Fernandes could still be leaving Sporting in the coming days.
