As the Italian media writes about Riccardo Calafiori’s future, Tottenham Hotspur continue to be named as a potential destination for the defender.

It’s newspaper Gazzetta Dello Sport who today writes about the player, highlighting that there are a few clubs who want him.

Tottenham are said to be ‘at the window’, although the likes of Juventus and Napoli are also said to be interested.

Even though Bologna only paid €4m to sign him from FC Basel last summer, Gazzetta claims that the youngster is now worth €25m, giving the club the chance to make a huge profit after just one year, with his value more than six times what it was less than a year ago.

Calafiori is currently waiting to get a call up for Italy’s first team, and that’s surely something that could only bring his market value up.

It’s been a while since Tottenham started getting linked to the 21-year-old, with recent claims from the local media saying they were ‘in the front row‘ and ‘above all’ fighting in this battle.

It now remains to be seen when Spurs will actually place their bid, and if it will be strong enough to beat Juventus and Napoli, who appear intent on getting the young Italian and keep him in Serie A for the foreseeable future.
