Tottenham Hotspur are now named as a potential destination for Boca Juniors midfielder Cristian Medina, after interest from Brighton and West Ham.

That’s revealed by Argentine outlet Boca Noticias, who today talk about the 21-year-old’s future.

It’s recalled that Boca Juniors are about to lose Aron Anselmino to a Premier League club, and Medina could now be following him to English football.

There’s few details on Tottenham’s chase for Medina, with the outlet just claiming he’s a player Spurs want to sign ‘in the next transfer market’. They’re said to be adding their interest after Brighton and West Ham, who had also been keen.

Despite his young age, the midfielder is an important player for Boca Juniors, and already has 138 appearances for the first team.

Medina has a contract with Boca Juniors running until 2027, and Transfermarkt currently have him at his peak value of €9m.

Brighton have obviously been ahead of the pack when recruiting players from South America in recent years, so that they’re keen is no surprise.

West Ham are often linked, and it often feels like the interest is real, but they rarely go through with anything.

Tottenham, however, are the club picked out in this story.
