Until the Harry Kane situation is fully resolved at Tottenham, the rumours surrounding the arrival of a player like Dusan Vlahovic will do the rounds.

Fiorentina have no intention to sell their star, but everyone has a price, with the Serbian’s reportedly edging close to €70m or so.

Having already spent some money this summer, it seems unlikely Spurs would go all out for a backup to Kane, meaning Vlahovic’s purchase would be linked to the Englishman’s departure.

Either way, Gazzetta dello Sport have an article on his situation on Wednesday afternoon, explain both Tottenham and Atlético Madrid ‘want to invest’ in a big summer signing this transfer window.

For Vlahovic, Fiorentina have built a wall around their star as they try to renew him, but they are currently stuck at the release clause part of the talks.

Despite this, there is some confidence they’ll be able to keep their man at least an extra year even if Tottenham and Atlético Madrid ‘would be available to approach with bonuses to the not so modest sum of €70m’.

Should that land on the table in Florence, they would certainly ‘waver’, as Spurs ‘intend to protect themselves in the even of a new and desperate assault on Harry Kane from Manchester City’.

We’ll have to see if that happens, but should the Englishman be sold, we know exactly where Tottenham and Fabio Paratici will turn their attention.
