Over the past few weeks, we have seen a number of stories linking Tottenham with a move for Julian Brandt, currently contracted to Borussia Dortmund.

The German player is linked to his club until 2024, which is why the Bundesliga side are trying to renew him, without much luck to date.

That’s a boost for Tottenham, since they are said to be interested in signing him, and the latest news, stemming from Sky Germany’s Sven Westerschulze, will be of interest to Daniel Levy and co.

That’s because despite the two sides being ‘almost in agreement’ when it comes to the financial aspect of a renewal, the player is ‘still hesitating’ about committing long-term to Dortmund.

Previous reports have suggested a move to the Premier League would definitely appeal to the 26-year-old, and perhaps he feels this is the right time to give that a go, especially with clubs such as Tottenham reportedly after him.

Signing from Bayer Leverkusen for €25m back in 2019, Brandt has scored 29 times and assisted another 30 goals in 160 games for Dortmund since his arrival, and is having a great season this time around, finding the back of the net nine times in 33 games.
