It’s been a bit of a rollercoaster of a week or so for Hugo Lloris.

Arrested for drink driving, the Tottenham goalkeeper then went on to help his side beat Manchester United 3-0 at Old Trafford before picking up an injury that will see him miss this weekend’s clash against Watford with a thigh injury.

This was announced on Friday by Spurs, a day after Didier Deschamps announced his captain would be a part of his upcoming France squad.

However, RMC Sport report that, despite his injury, Lloris will still join up with his national team at Clairefontaine for the upcoming international break, during which the world champions will face Germany and Holland in the UEFA Nations League.

The France international has represented his country 104 times, and is expected to retain the armband for the upcoming fixtures, should he prove fit enough to participate following his sidelining against the Hornets.
