It appears that Tottenham are eyeing up a new winger going forward, with Genoa’s Albert Gudmundsson on their agenda.
That’s according to SOS Fanta, who have an exclusive surrounding the Iceland International, who has five goals in 11 Serie A appearances to his name this season.
Revolving around the fact the Tottenham target is close to renewing his contract with the Italian club, the article also explains that two teams are ‘very attentive’ to the player’s situation and his performances, with Tottenham being one of them.
The other are AS Roma, managed by Josè Mourinho, but more information is given about Spurs, who are said to have ‘sent emissaries on more than one occasion’ to watch the 26-year-old.
They did so to evaluate the forward’s qualities ‘first-hand’, but, for now, Gudmundsson isn’t thinking about a transfer, whether it be to Tottenham or anywhere else, and is ‘totally focused’ on his current club.
As we all know, a contract renewal never puts an end to transfer rumours, as it could also be Genoa giving themselves more leverage ahead of the summer transfer window, when they would be far more likely to be willing to sell than midway through the campaign.
