Tottenham Hotspur are set to take a further step in their pursuit for Inter Milan fullback Denzel Dumfries, according to reports today.

Journalist Rudy Galetti today writes that Spurs are ‘ready to speed things up’ for the signing following his performances in the World Cup.

Inter Milan are well aware of how wanted their player is, and are now said to be ‘willing to negotiate’ if a ‘suitable offer arrives’ from Tottenham or someone else.

Spurs are obviously not alone in the race for the Nerazzurri star, with Galetti pointing out that Premier League rivals Chelsea and Manchester United also ‘follow the situation’ of the Dutch player.

Tottenham’s interest in Dumfries had already been highlighted in Galetti’s website a month ago, with a report claiming Antonio Conte was looking for a new right-back as Emerson Royal just can’t convince him on that position.

At that time, it had been claimed Inter Milan would like between €30m and €40m to let the player ago, although we have to wait and see if that valuation will be kept after his exhibitions in the World Cup.
