Poor old Juan Foyth. He spent Sunday flying from Argentina to England if several Argentine reports are to be believed, and on Monday he’s set to face some serious medical tests.

Cielo Sports report Foyth will undergo a ‘rigorous medical’ at Tottenham on Monday ahead of signing a contract with the Premier League club.

There’s no explanation for the ‘rigorous’ aspect, but it’s likely Cielo just expect everything at Tottenham to be done to the full extent.

The whole transfer has had to be perfect for Tottenham, with paperwork checked and checked again before Foyth was given permission to fly, and there seems to be an assumption that things are just more concentrated on these matters in English football.

Foyth isn’t carrying an injury, he’s been training fine, if away from teammates for a few days so as not to risk an injury.

If the medical results are ‘as expected’ then Foyth will sign his contract with Spurs. This is a big deal for Estudiantes too, the biggest in their history, with the Argentine club receiving €10.5m and Tottenham paying a little more to please other stakeholders.
