On Sunday, journalist Sacha Tavolieri reported Brentford are about to beat Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign Club Brugge’s Antonio Nusa.

For the past few days, Spurs have been negotiating with the Jupiler Pro League side for the winger.

Today’s edition of Het Laatste Nieuws states Brentford have defeated Tottenham, Chelsea and Newcastle United in the race to sign the 18-year-old.

All parties involved in the deal came to an agreement this weekend and the ‘signature has been signed’.

It’s claimed the attacker’s sale to the Bees will be closed for €37m including bonuses and the Belgian club will receive 12.5% of the profit from his future sale. Therefore, they are set for a ‘jackpot’ with this deal.

This is a record sale in the Jupiler Pro League, surpassing the €36m earned from Charles De Ketelaere’s sale to AC Milan in 2022. HLN add Nusa will return to Club Brugge on a loan deal until the end of this season.

Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri also reports ‘final agreement reached’ between Thomas Frank’s side and Club Brugge for a fee of around €37m for the Norway international’s transfer.

Brentford agreeing a deal for Nusa is a blow for Tottenham, who have been chasing him for the past week or so.
