Tottenham set to initiate contact ‘in next few hours’ for signing – Offer on the way from Spurs

Radu Drăgușin is on Tottenham Hotspur’s agenda and the Genoa star’s agent has already revealed that he held talks with them over a potential deal.

Two days ago, Gazzetta dello Sport stated Spurs have better arguments to win the battle to sign the 21-year-old in January.

According to Calciomercato, Atalanta, AS Roma, AC Milan and Napoli are all in the picture for the Tottenham target.

Ange Postecoglou has requested the north London club sign a centre-back in January and the need to strengthen this position has only increased after Cristian Romero picked up an injury.

After the Argentine’s latest setback, the Premier League side are focusing on Drăgușin. It’s claimed Tottenham are the ‘most serious’ club and will make first contact in the ‘next few hours’ to try to secure his services.

Genoa are requesting €30m for the Romania international and Calciomercato state Spurs are ready to make an offer. A concrete proposal from Tottenham would help them beat competition from other clubs.

Atalanta have no intention to meet Genoa’s demands while José Mourinho’s side don’t have the necessary funds to carry out the deal. Milan, meanwhile, are looking at the defender for next summer.

Napoli are looking for a defender and also have the funds. The report says they will have to make an offer or else Tottenham will have an advantage to sign Drăgușin next month.
