The Milan media is now getting used to the very real chance of Franck Kessie leaving the Rossoneri on a free transfer when his contract expires next summer.

AC Milan saw Gianluigi Donnarumma and Hakan Çalhanoğlu leave on free transfers this summer, and the club insisted they’d do everything possible to make sure similar exits didn’t happen again.

Therefore, the frustration with Kessie is heightened, especially after he recently declared his love for the club.

Tottenham Hotspur have been one of the clubs recently linked with the midfielder, with Il Milanista saying the Spurs interest is ‘strong’. It’s the same case for Atletico Madrid and PSG, with claims over the past week of the French club considering a cut-price January deal to beat the competition.

Kessie has already been receiving criticism, and there’s even been some suggestions the player’s mind could be elsewhere, if he’s considering a future free transfer to Tottenham, PSG, Atleti or anywhere else.

Italian journalist Carlo Pellegatti doesn’t think that will be the case, and is quoted by Il Milanista as saying: “Next Sunday Franck Kessie will probably play from the first minute. For me it is good news because when he plays for Milan it makes them stronger.”

Pellegatti also dismissed the idea Kessie would be pulling his leg out of tackles, explaining that wouldn’t be accepted by his experienced teammates.
