Denmark’s defence looked more than a little shaky against Poland at the weekend, as Robert Lewandowski’s side went 3 ahead with around half of the match still to go. Denmark brought it back to 3-2, but were unable to find themselves an equaliser, and left Poland without any points.
Unfortunately the Tottenham player was one of several who didn’t perform brilliantly, and of course that hasn’t been missed. Denmark play Montenegro on Tuesday night, and an improvement is expected.
Danish newspaper BT say that Eriksen was ‘invisible in Warsaw’, and they explain it’s crucial to the team’s creative ability that the Spurs star produces the talent that everybody knows he has.
It’s not all down to Eriksen though, and Denmark need to be safe at the back, even against Montenegro.
