Brentford, Fulham, West Ham United, Leicester City, Newcastle United, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Southampton are all keen on Ibrahim Maza, reports this week’s edition of Bild am Sonntag.
The 19-year-old is described as a ‘playmaker gem’, but his club are struggling. Hertha Berlin currently find themselves 11th in the 2. Bundesliga, which really isn’t where they will have expected to be at this stage of the season.
On Saturday they drew 2-2 against SSV Ulm, especially bad given Hertha Berlin’s opponents are newly promoted. Maza scored a goal and assisted the other, and if Hertha’s promotion chances collapse then their likelihood of keeping the youngster does the same.
Bild am Sonntag mention interest from all of Brentford, Fulham, West Ham United, Leicester City, Newcastle United, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Southampton, and that hype around the player has been growing in recent weeks.
Maza has scored five goals and added three assists across 15 appearances so far this season.
As we’ve stated before, the claims of Premier League interest over the past couple of weeks or so appeared to have a new club added each time they appeared.
That may be somewhat questionable. Maza is represented by CAA Stellar, who have multiple stars in the Premier League.
