It appears that Andrey Santos will not be returning to Chelsea in the summer if the latest information from Italy is to be believed.

The news comes from Calciomercato.it, who look at the situation of the Brazilian, currently on loan at Strasbourg, where he has made three appearances.

They explain that he has impressed in those, playing the full 90 minutes against Nantes, and it seems like Chelsea want to ensure he gets some continuity, which is why a new loan deal is on the cards.

They reveal that Todd Boehly and those around him ‘have already given the go ahead’ for a possible new loan to Strasbourg next season.

The midfielder is not the only player on loan there, as Chelsea will also have to decide what they want to do with Angelo, who has made 25 appearances, providing four assists, since moving there last summer.

Still, Andrey Santos’ future could already be resolved, and it could entirely depend on whether Strasbourg agree to have him again in their squad, or if they want to try and acquire a permanent solution.
