In the past couple of months, we’ve been covering several reports from Portugal which said Wolverhampton Wanderers are close to signing Pelé from Rio Ave.

These claims got quite serious when last weekend, the player made it clear it’s likely he will be moving to the Premier League, especially because his family already lives in London.

Now the Portuguese press continues to be quite optimistic about this transfer, as today, A Bola takes it as a done deal.

As they report Rio Ave’s transfer plans for the summer, the newspaper claims that the club are looking for a replacement for Pelé.

The story says that the midfielder is ‘transferred’ to Wolves, and now the Portuguese side look for a man for his position.

A Bola always seemed positive about Pelé’s transfer to the Championship winners, but they’re really taking things to a new level now.

If the recent reports are to be believed, Wolves should be paying €10m for the 26-year-old.
