Fenerbahce are in advanced negotiations to sign Jeremain Lens from Sunderland on loan, according to Fanatik. However, another Turkish media outlet Haberturk have indicated even more, and have claimed it’s a done deal.

We recently reported Fenerbahce’s new boss Dick Advocaat wants to sign his compatriot from Sunderland, and Fenerbahce president Aziz Yildirim also pretty much confirmed yesterday his club’s interest in the Dutchman

A NtvSpor reporter asked the Fenerbahce chief: ”Is it true that you’re interested in Lens?” the president answered ”You’ll see in a week” and laughed.

Sunderland winger is certainly not the first-choice for David Moyes, and the Scottish boss will not stand his way if he wants the move. Lens joined Black Cats from Dynamo Kiev a year ago, and scored just three goals in 20 Premier League appearances last season.

Lens will be a very good signing for Fenerbahce, and Advocaat thinks he can carry the team forward with his dribbling skills and also maybe get the best out of Robin van Persie.

Fenerbahce also have another Dutchman in Gregory van der Wiel which means Lens will be able to adapt to life more easily in Turkey.

A move to Turkey is attractive for Lens, and he made it clear to Advocaat that he would love to join Yellow Canaries.
