We’ve recently covered a couple of reports from O Jogo which said Fulham were closing in on signing the Sporting winger Carlos Mané on loan.
But on Friday, Portuguese newspaper Record disagreed and said the claims don’t make any sense.
They didn’t mention newspaper rival O Jogo, but said that despite recent reports suggesting Fulham’s interest, there’s no way this business is going to happen on the terms reported.
Mané is closer to joining a Bundesliga side, and even if he goes to Fulham, this deal wouldn’t settle Sporting’s debt with the Cottagers.
It would be a separate business, since the debt is still not solved.
