Fulham appear to be at the front of the queue for Fiorentina defender Igor, who has his ‘suitcase in hand’ this summer.

That’s according to La Nazione, relayed by Labaro Viola, and Tuttomercatoweb, who both say the Brazilian could be on his way to Craven Cottage.

A report over the weekend stated that Fulham were looking at a deal for Igor, whose contract situation, it expires next summer, meant a deal was there to be done.

The player has made it clear to the Serie A side that he would like to leave and everything pointed towards that happening.

La Nazione back that up, stating that the defender is ‘in Fulham’s sights’ as they look for a potential replacement for Tosin Adarabioyo, who has been targeted by Inter Milan.

Any departure would reportedly cause manager Marco Silva to consider his future and it’s claimed to calm that, Fulham would sign Igor to replace the defender. Any deal would ‘eventually start on the basis of €8m.’.

TMW go one step further and explain that Igor has his ‘suitcase already in hand’ after a season in which he has fallen out of favour with La Viola.

Fulham are ‘on pole’ in terms of the race for his signature, although there is no mention of potential competition at this point.

Either way, Fulham are interested in the player as has been claimed, as he looks almost certain to leave Fiorentina this summer.
