Fulham are showing interest in Fiorentina defender Igor, who is keen to leave the Italian side this summer.

That’s according to Corriere dello Sport, relayed by Calciomercato, who say the Brazilian is ‘one of the first candidates’ to leave the Europa Conference League finalists.

They explain that the defender is keen to find a new experience outside of Italy, having been in the country since 2019 since a move to SPAL from RB Salzburg.

He joined Fiorentina in 2020, initially on loan before the move was made permanent for €6m in July 2021 and has been a regular for them in the last three years, making 110 appearances in total.

The last of those was in the Europa Conference League final defeat to West Ham after which the player left directly for Brazil from Prague rather than travelling back to Florence.

He is now keen to move on from the club and ‘there is interest’ from Fulham, with the player’s contract situation working in their favour.

His current deal expires in 2024 so Fiorentina need to sell this summer rather than lose him on a free and this would ‘favour a transfer’.

There is no mention of what Fulham would have to pay to get a deal over the line, but their interest in the 25-year-old is there nonetheless as they look to strengthen Marco Silva’s squad.
