We’re not entirely sure where this has come from, because there’s nothing in France about it, but TuttoMercatoWeb claim Southampton have returned for Bordeaux’s Francois Kamano.

The Saints were already looking at the Guinean forward towards the beginning of the season all the way up to January, but they appeared to swiftly move onto Moussa Djenepo, whom they recently bought off Standard Liège.

With that deal done and Sofiane Boufal returning from his loan at Celta Vigo, you would think Ralph Hasenhuttl would be pleased with the technical talent at his disposal.

However, TuttoMercatoWeb report Southampton ‘are working with the player’s agent to bring him to the Premier League next season’.

It’s a bit of a strange one, because if it was their own information, they would do what they always do, which is stick “TMW” before their headline, but they haven’t here.

Furthermore, if they found the news elsewhere, they tend to at least mention the source, whether it be a journalist or an outlet somewhere in Europe.

In this case, it’s neither, and with nothing in France on the matter, we’re a bit confused as to this story’s origins.

For the time being, take this with a pinch of salt, and if we see anything else on the matter, you can be sure we’ll cover it.
