Arsenal are today once linked to Real Madrid winger Lucas Vázquez.

It’s a story which has popped before, and this time it’s Mundo Deportivo who are sure that the Gunners want the 27-year-old.

The outlet highlights that next season, the player should have a lot more competition, since Real Madrid have been acquiring several wingers in the past year.

It’s claimed that the London side trust that Vazquez is keen on playing at Euro 2020, and for that to happen he must get minutes at a club.

Mundo Deportivo adds that Unai Emery wants the player as a wing-back in a 3-5-2 system. Although Vazquez plays mostly as a winger, he’s also been a wing-back and a right-back for Real Madrid this season.

The outlet doesn’t say how much the Gunners would pay for Vazquez. The player has a contract with Madrid running until 2021, but Mundo Deportivo are probably right about the competition in the squad being a big deal for next season.
