Eden Hazard’s dad talking about a potential move from Chelsea to Real Madrid has of course caused a stir in the Spanish media.
Marca have Hazard on their Saturday front page, and inside it’s stated the Chelsea player is ‘loco’ (crazy) for Real Madrid. Hazard ‘stars in a new chapter of romance’ with the Spanish club, explain Marca, with them saying the mutual appreciation is a long standing affair.
Zinedine Zidane is known to be a fan of Hazard, and that all helps to create a base to build things further, with Real Madrid needing an attacking player.
Crucially for worried Chelsea fans, Marca don’t talk up an actual transfer, and there’s no claims of talks being held or an offer being prepared. It’s known getting Hazard from Chelsea wouldn’t be easy, so whilst Hazard is considered a good option, the transfer is in the very difficult section, along with players like Harry Kane.
Whilst Hazard’s father pushed a Chelsea renewal into the long grass, the Belgian international still has a deal running until 2020, so there’s no great pressure in that regard.
El Confidencial, often very good on Real Madrid transfers, also push the Hazard story, but, just like Marca, don’t take it any further than a mutual admiration.
