It appears that Southampton have decided to look in Poland for some new players, if WP SportoweFakty are to be believed.

The Polish website have an article explaining that the Saints were one of many clubs attending the game between Lech Poznan and Pogón at the weekend.

The game finished 2-2, and it’s stated Southampton, Inter Milan, AEK Athens and Bologna all attended to take in the game.

Not only that, but the Saints were also in Warsaw the day before to watch another match, meaning they clearly wanted to take in as much as possible during that weekend.

As for who Southampton could have been watching, the Polish outlet do give us some names, suggesting that 23-year-old winger Michal Skoras is ‘definitely in high demand’ and could leave the Poznan side in the summer.

There’s also 21-year-old attacking midfielder Filip Marchwinski, who is said to have ‘high ratings among scouts’, while more experienced players such as 30-year-old striker Mikael Ishak and 27-year-old defensive midfielder Jesper Karlstrom could have also caught the eye.

Whether Southampton would be interested in any of those for the summer remains to be seen, but this gives you an idea of the type of market they are looking at.
