Southampton defender Armel Bella-Kotchap ‘wants to go’ before the end of the transfer window and has Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich vying for his signature.

That’s according to Sport 1 journalist Patrick Berger, who says the defender ‘still wants to join’ Dortmund but Southampton are playing hardball on the matter.

Bella-Kotchap has been linked with a move away from St Mary’s throughout this summer, with many expecting the highly thought of defender to join the ever-growing list of departures from Southampton this summer.

The Saints, though, have proved resistant to the offers made to them so far, with no clubs coming forward to offer a permanent exit as yet.

Berger report that remains the case, explaining that the 21-year-old ‘still wants to join’ Borussia Dortmund but that move is ‘on hold’.

Dortmund have made a loan offer with a purchase clause included but the Championship side are ‘still playing poker’ on the matter and have batted it away.

Bayern Munich are also ‘interested’ in a potential deal but have only ever spoken to Southampton regarding the matter and have ‘not yet spoken’ to the player about a possible move.

Either way, they are very much in the mix for his signature, and it seems the Saints may be dealing with both clubs before the end of the window.
