Jota Peleteiro has been linked with Aston Villa repeatedly in recent days.
It would be a controversial move, with Jota currently being at Birmingham City. The 27 year old signed for the Blues in 2017 and last year made 40 Championship appearances for them.
During that time he found the back of the net three times and added 11 assists, playing mainly on the right for Birmingham City.
Jota is originally from Galicia, and excellent local source La Voz de Galicia says they’ve spoken to sources close to the player’s family, who have confirmed a move to Aston Villa is close.
Having seen his performances for Birmingham, Villa have ‘rushed’ to complete the signing, and as long as nothing goes wrong, it’s believed his presentation will be ‘in the coming days’.
La Voz say there’s already an agreement in place between Birmingham City and Aston Villa.
