Two months ago, we relayed news from Italy that Liverpool have a keen interest in OGC Nice star Khéphren Thuram. It was also stated the Reds had looked at the midfielder in the last window but decided to go ahead with other options.

Calciomercato now explain Liverpool are one of the English clubs ‘serious’ about the 22-year-old.

The France international is also on Juventus’ transfer agenda and even though they made an early move, the report says the Serie A side haven’t taken firm steps to try to secure his services.

Their title states the Ligue1 side have put the player ‘up for auction’. Within the report, it’s explained Premier League sides have lined up, in case Nice [which is likely] decide to auction him off.

Calciomercato state Jürgen Klopp’s side are ‘already in contact’, with both the Frenchman’s entourage and Nice, for a potential deal.

As well as from Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United have also made contact to sign Thuram. This has seen Juventus slip behind the English clubs in the transfer chase.

Over at Tutto Juve, they say the Italian club must beware of the competition from the Premier League to carry out a few signings next month.

Juve have identified Thuram as one of their targets and they believe he’s a ‘perfect’ fit for them.

He’s also courted by Liverpool and the two Manchester clubs. The report suggests the Turin club don’t have the budget to sign the Nice player, without mentioning any figures.
