In recent reports regarding the situation of Philippe Coutinho at Aston Villa, it had been claimed that Brazilian clubs would still have a shot at his signing.

For that to happen, they’d need to wait for the European transfer window to close. So in case the Villans didn’t sell him by then, he could be loaned out to a club from his home country.

It turns out, however, that this possibility is now ruled out by people close to him, according to journalist Jorge Nicola.

On Youtube, the reporter claims that one of the player’s agents says he’s not moving from Aston Villa to Brazil, regardless of which club wants to sign him.

It’s also said that the player didn’t give any signs that he’d like to make that kind of move, so that possibility is now claimed to be nearly impossible. Especially because he’d need to take a new pay cut in that case.

Coutinho has 19 appearances for Aston Villa this season, and has only been used by Unai Emery in the final minutes of Premier League matches. According to Nicola, there have been no offers for him so far.
