Ahead of Fulham’s EFL Cup clash against Liverpool tonight, ESPN Brasil is featuring an interview with Whites’ midfielder Andreas Pereira.

Even though Marco Silva’s side are set for a tough challenge at Anfield, the Brazilian believes they have a chance of finding a good result there.

Speaking to ESPN, Pereira pointed out the strategy in Fulham’s mindset, insisting there can be no mistakes in such an important game.

“As for Liverpool, they’re a tough nut to crack, it’s going to be a difficult road to get to the final. We believe in it, we have to play the perfect game,” said Pereira.

“It’s very difficult, but it’s not impossible. So we know their quality, we know the great players they have. We have to respect ourselves as well and try to get them out of this final.”

Fulham are visiting Liverpool at Anfield tonight and then playing the second leg at Craven Cottage on the 24th of January.

The EFL Cup final is unpredictable for now, as last night, Middlesbrough defeated Chelsea 1-0, and are now going for the decisive match at Stamford Bridge.

Fulham are coming from two straight wins, as they managed to beat Arsenal on the last day of 2023, and then knocked Rotherham out of the FA Cup at the weekend.

Andreas Pereira has six assists and one goal in 24 appearances for Fulham this season, and seems to have his mindset ready for this perfect performance against Jurgen Klopp’s side tonight.
