On April 24th, we covered claims from Italy that Arsenal have been in regular contact with Joshua Zirkzee’s entourage.

Two days ago, Calciomercato reported the Gunners are offering staggering numbers to try to sign the Bologna striker in the summer window.

Recent claims have stated Arsenal are looking to cut ties with Gabriel Jesus and replace him with a new striker.

A fresh report from Calciomercato points that out and then discusses Arsenal’s interest in Zirkzee, who is also being chased by Juventus and AC Milan.

The report focuses on Juve’s interest and they are warned that the competition is ‘strong and ruthless’. Arsenal are competing ‘above all’ with the Italian clubs, and Gazzetta dello Sport today say the Gunners are ‘favourites’.

Calciomercato add that interested parties have to invest more than €50m to sign him. The Premier League side are keen and have the financial strength to meet Bologna’s request.

The report says ‘we need money and quickly’, meaning Juve are in something of a panic as Arsenal hover.

They have identified a few candidates who can help them raise funds and are also keen on appointing Bologna’s Thiago Motta as their next manager. The Brazilian’s arrival may help Juve in overcoming tough competition from Arsenal and others.

Zirkzee has managed 12 goals and seven assists this season and could be called up by the Netherlands manager Ronald Koeman for the Euros. The report states he wants his future to be resolved before the start of the European championship on June 14th.
