The Spanish media are once again pointing out that Rafinha is looking to leave Barcelona this summer, and the club won’t hold him back. With the World Cup 2018 appearing on the horizon, Rafinha wants to move to a club where he’ll get more minutes and be a much more important part of the manager’s plans.
That increased prominence will push Rafinha into Brazil’s squad for the tournament, if everything goes to plan. Liverpool have been the Premier League club most linked in recent months, with Catalan newspaper Mundo Deportivo specifically pushing Jurgen Klopp interest a week ago.
A few days after that, Marca said ‘an offer that satisfies both parties’ would be enough to take Rafinha from Barcelona. Now they reiterate it, saying a ‘good offer’ will see the back of Rafinha.
There’s no specific clubs mentioned this time, but if Klopp and Liverpool are as interested as has been reported, then this is certainly a doable deal. Champions League qualification will be a big boost, and Rafinha would find fellow Brazilians Firmino and Philippe Coutinho waiting for him.
Rafinha is one of several Barcelona players who have been made available for sale, according to Marca, perhaps Klopp can take a look at the others too.
