Manchester City youngster Sávio has revealed how he is dreaming of a move to Real Madrid in future, so he can play alongside compatriot Rodrygo.

The 18-year-old joined Troyes from Atlético Mineiro in a £5.85m deal in the summer but has been immediately sent out on loan to PSV Eindhoven for the year.

The French side are part of the City Group network of clubs, alongside Manchester City, New York City, Melbourne City, Girona and several other clubs around the world.

The youngster is expected to rock up at the Etihad at some point in future, with many youngsters joining the various groups in the network before joining Manchester City at some point in their future.

It seems, though, City are not his dream club, as like many south American players, he’d love to end up at Real Madrid one day.

“Who is an example for me? Rodrygo’s career speaks to me enormously,” Voetbal Primeur report him saying.

“To play with him at Real Madrid one day, that’s a dream. But I’m nowhere near that far yet and have to prove myself here first.”

The focus is on PSV Eindhoven for the moment in time, with the hope that he can develop in the Netherlands this season.

The Eredivisie is a breeding ground for top talent, particularly south American talent, which has often flourished in the division.

Savio has certainly been enjoying his time there so far, with two assists in 197 minutes of action in all competitions at the beginning of the season.

He’s yet to start a game for the club but has steadily been establishing himself into Ruud van Nistelrooy’s plans and will be hoping for a more regular spot moving forwards.

There’s no complaints from the youngster, though, who is more than happy with the situation to date.

“The people here at PSV have delivered what they promised me,” he added.

“I really like that. Before I came here, I was presented with a certain picture of how things could roughly go with me in this season.

“Well, it has completely come true. I need time to adapt but will get opportunities to grow.”
