La Liga giants Real Madrid are interested in the signing of Manchester City fullback Pedro Porro, according to reports from the Portuguese media today.

Newspaper O Jogo says the Galacticos have been following the player and even asked about the conditions for a potential move.

Porro is currently loaned by Manchester City to Sporting until 2022. Since the Lions have an option to buy him for €8.5m, his future is obviously blocked by the Lisbon side.

O Jogo says the Portuguese club have already decided to go for his permanent signing, as they expect to agree a five-year deal with him.

However, now with Real Madrid showing up, the outlet points out that even though the player wants to stay at Sporting, the wish to sign for Real Madrid would be just as big, in case the opportunity really appears. That’s how ‘things could change’.

The Portuguese press has been repeatedly reporting for months the Lions’ wish to sign Porro permanently, so in case the player really decides not to sign for them, that will be a big blow.

Manchester City, on the other hand, would probably be happier to negotiate his sale with Real Madrid for a new price instead of seeing Sporting getting him for the €8.5m clause.
