Real Betis have made an ‘exhaustive’ follow up on Watford striker Luis Suárez ahead of a potential move this summer.

The Colombian striker is currently on loan at Real Zaragoza in LaLiga 2, scoring 17 goals so far this term.

His performances have not gone unnoticed around Europe, with clubs from Spain and Italy both keen on moving for him this summer.

Real Betis have been named among his suitors on more than one occasion, with the last report claiming they had made Watford aware of their interest.

Estadio Deportivo add to that and say Suárez is one of four players that Betis have made ‘exhaustive’ follow-ups on as they look for bargains this summer.

The Spanish side are keen to add to their squad, but the Coronavirus outbreak means that spending on transfers will be limited this year.

They are thus looking for ‘potential talents’ in the lower leagues, and Suárez is one of several who has stood out to them.

The problem for them is, Suárez is a hot commodity at this moment in time, with numerous clubs, including big ones such as Atlético Madrid and Napoli, having all ‘asked about him’ in recent months.

Watford’s response to all of these claims has been consistent; they’ve ‘ordered’ the player to return in the summer, either to have him as part of their squad next season or to ‘do business’ which would ‘trigger a bid’ for the striker.
