Earlier on Wednesday, reports from the Belgian media shared Rangers interest in Standard Liege goalkeeper Arnaud Bodart.

It was claimed that the Philippe Clement’s side, as well as Celtic and Luton Town, are all eyeing the player ahead of a potential summer move.

It turns out that as Sacha Tavolieri comes up to Twitter to talk about that alleged chase, he completely dismisses Rangers interest.

The journalist makes it clear there’s no chase from Philippe Clement’s side, as the goalkeeping sector is ‘not a priority’ for the summer window.

Tavolieri claims that his sources, in plural, denied the news about Rangers interest.

We shall see if, in the coming days, the Belgian media will have something to say about that, perhaps insisting that the Ibrox side do want the player.

With Tavolieri not bringing any information on Celtic or Luton Town, Bodart there’s still a chance Bodart will end up moving to Scotland in the summer, but to play for the Hoops.

The goalkeeper has a contract with Standard Liege running until 2025, and is valued by Transfermarkt at €6m.
