Ruben Neves to Wolves has gone quiet in the Portuguese press. There’s no longer front pages with the player’s face on, and the shock factor has now somewhat calmed.

There’s been no great update on the mini saga, and that’s even led some Portuguese outlets to covering English reports on the chase, despite them probably knowing far more in Portugal anyway.

Jornal de Noticias say Neves to Wolves is ‘imminent’, but don’t offer any more than that. It’s a theme around Portugal, with the transfer being treated as pretty much done.

The same newspaper slightly cover Willy Boly’s situation too, with it being reiterated the defender wasn’t required to train with Porto yesterday. Jornal de Noticias say Boly will be the next to leave after Neves, although they don’t say it’ll be to Wolves.

Record, another Portuguese newspaper, sound more confident on Boly to Wolves. Making it clear the player now knows he has no future at Porto and saying he’s just awaiting confirmation of his loan move to Wolves.

It’s stated Boly is ‘out of options’ so whilst Wolves may not be his first choice, or second, with Porto insistent he goes, and not even requiring him to train, there’s not a great deal of choice for the defender right now.

The only alternative to a Wolves loan is to sit around and wait for someone else to hopefully come in, but that may not happen, and even if it does there’s no guarantee the club will be more attractive than Wolves.
