With Paris Saint-Germain struggling to sell some of their deadweight, the Ligue 1 side have started to take drastic action.

For example, they have cancelled the last two years of Ander Herrera’s contract, who is expected to return to Athletic Bilbao, and the same could happen with Everton target Idrissa Gueye.

That is, at least, what the player wants, according to RMC Sport, who explain the Senegal international ‘is still on the way out’ in Paris.

In fact, it’s pointed out that the player ‘reached an agreement with Everton several days ago’, but it was the negotiations with the French club that were ‘stalling’.

Instead, to speed things up, it’s said Gueye ‘also wants a contract termination’ that would see him likely give up some money to become a free agent and then be able to sign with whomever he pleases.

In this case, that would be Everton, who have been after more midfield reinforcements following the expensive signing of Amadou Onana from Lille.

The fact Gueye already knows the club and the Premier League will have been in Frank Lampard’s thoughts, which is why they are still pursuing this avenue.
