Legia Warsaw’s Michał Karbownik has ‘signed’ for Brighton & Hove Albion, according to TuttoMercatoWeb.

The 19-year-old was a transfer target for Parma and was courted by Napoli for a long time. His possibility of arriving in the Serie A is now fading after the Seagulls managed to find an agreement for his transfer.

Graham Potter’s side will pay a fee around €6m plus an additional €3m in bonuses to the Polish club. He is set to undergo his medical in Germany.

It’s claimed the English club will allow the left-back to return to Legia Warsaw on loan until January 2021.

Karbownik’s compatriot Jakub Moder is also wanted by Brighton.

According to TMW, the Premier League side have ‘closed’ the deal for the Lech Poznań midfielder and they will pay €9m plus €2m in bonuses for his services.

The report doesn’t make it clear whether the 21-year-old will immediately move to The Amex or, like Karbownik, will arrive at the club in 2021.

Super Express in Poland are also reporting Moder ‘will be sold’ to Brighton, and will return to Lech Poznań on a season-long loan deal.

Potter’s side will, however, retain an option to cut short his loan after the end of this calendar year.
