Manchester United defender Eric Bailly could end up at Beşiktaş, according to reports from Turkey.

The centre-back returned to Old Trafford after a loan spell at Marseille but is unlikely to make his way into Erik ten Hag’s plans for the new season. He’s expected to leave and the Black Eagles have emerged as an option.

Beşiktaş have identified the Manchester United player as the main candidate to bolster their defence. That’s according to Sports Digitale, who say Bailly has agreed a three-year deal with the Turkish club.

It’s claimed the 29-year-old will have a ‘final meeting’ with the Premier League side today to discuss his future.

Sports Digitale make no mention of the fee requested by Manchester United or what Beşiktaş are willing to pay. However, they do say the deal is expected to go through ‘in a few days’.

The Istanbul club’s interest in the Ivory Coast international is backed up by Habertürk.

His deal expires in 2024 but the outlet states the defender is expected to terminate his contract at Manchester United. Habertürk state Beşiktaş are waiting for Bailly to resolve this issue with the English club to acquire his signature.
