Brighton & Hove Albion’s incoming signing Julio Enciso is set to complete his transfer in the coming days, according to the latest reports from Paraguay.

Outlet La Nacion writes that the player is travelling to England on Tuesday afternoon. He’s set to be followed by Libertad director Jorge de los Rios and agent Pedro Aldave.

It’s said once Enciso lands in the UK, he’ll have medical examinations and sign a five-year deal with Brighton. Then he can join the squad, and get ready for preseason in Portugal.

The Seagulls are reportedly paying Libertad US$13m (£10.7m) for the move, and that makes it a record transfer in Paraguayan football.

Enciso turned 18-years-of-age in January, and that’s when Brighton made the first attempt to buy him. Back then, many people got involved explaining why the transfer to the Premier League club failed.

The teenager ended up continuing his good form for Libertad, with 11 goals and three assists in 17 appearances this season, and that apparently convinced the Seagulls to make a second attempt, which was successful.
