Manchester United player and Germany legend Bastian Schweinsteiger is going nowhere, according to Record.

Despite rumours saying the player has been offered to Sporting, the Portuguese newspaper has a short article saying the midfielder has rejected the move.

Record claims ‘it was a possibility, but lasted a short time’ as the German international wants to stay at Manchester United at least until January.

They say that it was actually Sporting who contacted the Schweinsteiger’s agent, and he’d have been a signing to eventually replace the midfielder Adrien Silva. But the representative talked to his player and the possibility was immediately turned down by the 32-year-old.

Schweinsteiger appears to believe that there’s a chance, however small, of rescuing his Manchester United career and proving himself useful to manager Jose Mourinho.
