Chelsea star Eden Hazard has been selected in Gazzetta dello Sport’s European Team of the Week for last weekend’s round of matches.

Each week the Italian newspaper selects the best eleven from players outside of Serie A, and this week the Belgian attacker has been picked after his performance against Burnley.

Hazard was again at his brilliant best at the weekend during Chelsea’s 3-0 victory over Burnley. Hazard struggled for form last season, which was contributed to by injury, but in this campaign he’s hit the ground running.

The Belgian international opened the scoring for Chelsea with a stunning effort in the first half, and tormented Burnley throughout the game. The 25-year-old now has two goals in the opening three Premier League games.

It seems since Antonio Conte came in as the new Chelsea manager this summer the Italian has managed to get Hazard playing to the standards he showed when he was awarded the PFA Player of the Year during the 2014/15 season.

Other notable players that made the selection were Bayern Munich forward Robert Lewandowski, Leicester City captain Wes Morgan and Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling.
